Release: Full SAML SSO support & more

Our next release features full SAML SSO support and is going live this coming Monday, July 27th. Here are the details:

Single Sign-On (SSO) using SAML 2.0

In addition to our proprietary SSO APIs, Channeltivity now supports SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language, an open standard for single sign-on) and can be configured to allow your Users to seamlessly log into third-party applications. Go to Admin > Settings > SAML Single Sign-On to configure SAML Service Providers (SP) and allow SSO into any system that supports SAML 2.0, including Litmos LMS, Oracle iLearning LMS, FreshDesk and more.

Restructured Admin Settings Page

Over the years, the Admin Settings page has grown into a long and somewhat unwieldy list of configuration links. With this new release, usability has been improved, as we reordered links into categories that make it easy to find the configuration setting you’re looking for.

Other Improvements

  • The Lead export and print view now includes the ID of the converted Deal Registration. This allows you to map a Deal Registration back to its originating Lead.
  • You can add a custom description next to the “Close Date” field of Deal Registrations.
  • The Data API documentation now includes IDs and descriptions of all picklist values, such as Partner Types, Lead Sources, User Status, etc.
  • Many small improvements and bugfixes.

As always, there’s nothing that’s needed from you – all customers will be automatically upgraded.
